BC Cancer Agency Annual Conference Recognition Awards
Dr. Marco Marra, Head of BC Cancer Agency's Michael Smith's Genome Sciences Centre, received the British Columbia Medical Association Terry Fox Medal at the BC Cancer Agency's Annual Awards Banquet on Friday, November 26, 2010 at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver.
Awards presented at the BC Cancer Agency Annual Conference were to celebrate the accomplishments of people who have made outstanding contributions in the oncology field in British Columbia.
In addition to Dr. Marco Marra, two other recipients of awards at the banquet were:
Dr. Raj Chari, a researcher in the Integrative Oncology Department, at BC Cancer Agency's Research Centre. He received the Lloyd Skarsgard Research Excellence Award.
And Lorne Mackie, a Volunteer, at the BC Cancer Agency, who received the BC Cancer Agency Community Care Award, which is sponsored by the BC Cancer Foundation.
