Non-linear Electrophoretic Response Yields a New Parameter for Separation of Biomolecules

This paper was just accepted for publication in PNAS. It describes a novel and highly efficient electophoresis method for isolation and purification of DNA. The proof of principle application described in the paper was the isolation of DNA from a drilling core from the Athabasca oil sands, which was subsequently subjected to metagenomic sequencing and analysis here at the GSC.
